This was the type of house used in 'The Lifewatcher.' Frances Clarke, Alfie Pyke and Minnie Davies would have lived in a house such as this.

This was the style of dining room table and chairs used in the early part of the 1900's in the UK.

All food was cooked on a range, such as this, which was fired by coal and would be in the kitchen, where most of the activities took place because it was warmer. The front room, called the parlour, was only used for special occasions.

Visit of the Prince of Wales to Reading, Berks, UK - 25th June, 1926

Reading, Berks, UK - 25th June, 1926

June, 1925 - The Prince of Wales visits Reading. As was his custom, he 'doffs his hat' to the waiting crowd and they do the same back, as a mark of respect.

Huntley and Palmer factory workers await the arrival of the Prince of Wales, June, 1926, along with an expectant crowd.

The Prince of Wales is shown around a part of the Huntley and Palmer factory - it appears to be all female workers in this shed. Again, this was June, 1926.
